People who have never travelled will never see the world from the same perspective as a person who has seen different parts of the world. You know the place where you live, but discovering other parts of this earth is what makes living worth it. And that’s what we did during our Discover EU journey. Lived, laughed and explored. Starting early morning in Bratislava with our backpacks already hurting our backs we started our journey towards Ljubljana. Visiting the castle, trying local cuisine and much more we were captivated by the beauty and calmness of the capital city of Slovenia. Our next stop brought us to Venice. City
like no other. Feeling the sea air we walked through all the nooks and crannies of the floating city. Looking through hidden galleries, but alo very much visible cathedrals this city is one none of us will ever forget about. Continuing our journey to Bologna, we were lucky to get a special private tour from YouNet organization. Discovering the seven secrets of Bologna and
the best food we could not have been happier. On our way to Milan we stopped at Verona. Seeing Juliet’s balcony and the arena, we were impressed by it’s beauty and history. Climbing all the stairs to the Duomo’s terrace was exhausting, but rewarding in the end. The masterpiece located in Milan had us in awe. Looking through the gallery and continuing to
see the castle and arc, which were so stunning. Taking us back to the sea was Trieste. City with not that many tourists, beautiful sea and amazing food. And from there our journey was coming to the end. We could not help ourselves though and stopped to see one more city. Salzburg. We roamed around, had a typical austrian lunch consisting of a wurst and almdudler and then continued towards home. After ten days of constant travelling we were exhausted, but happy. We have seen so much, and experienced so much and all because of Discover EU. We have travelled to places some people will never get to see and we are so thankful for the opportunity to travel, meet new people, expand our horizons and learn more about this beautiful world.
