10.09 – Arrival Day:
Our journey began from various countries (Ukraine, Türkiye, Czechia, Portugal, Serbia). Some of us had long trips, while others had shorter ones, but we all eventually arrived at the right place. Trnava greeted us with sunshine, charming streets, and warm welcomes.

We gathered at 9:00 a.m. at the Youth for Equality office. The day kicked off with icebreakers and energizers, helping us get to know each other better. We spent the morning engaged in team-building activities. After lunch, we were introduced to the program and learned about other Erasmus+ and Youthpass opportunities. Following these, together we explored Trnava with the city game in which we learned the history of Trnava. The excitement for the days ahead was noticeable!

16.09 – Transport systems
A new week started as usual with a morning dose of energizers. Full of energy we could continue with a discussion about transportation systems in different European countries. It was fascinating to see the differences and similarities in how these nations approach mobility, from public transport to eco-friendly solutions. After we moved on to a creative session, where we began creating our vision of the future of mobility. We shared ideas, imagining sustainable, efficient, and accessible transportation that could shape a greener and more connected world.
17.09. – Gathering with locals
The next day, we finished painting our vision for the future of mobility and introduced our ideas in front of the #Trnava. For the first time in a week the sun appeared on the blue sky – perfect timing to gather with locals! After preparing some materials, our three small groups interviewed the citizens on the streets of Trnava and we learnt more about their knowledge on Mobility Week. It was also a great opportunity to share information about our team and Youth for Equality.
18.09 – Eco-friendly mobility
The theme of Wednesday – Safe energy! After a presentation where the issues but also solutions were presented, we discussed how the improvement could be done in our countries, and each participant had space to share their own ideas. Later, we had an exciting biking event with local citizens, organized in cooperation with Trnavská Klubovňa, who warmly introduced us to their youth centers, allowing us to spend time with the active youth of Trnava.
19.09 – Democracy conference – Youth DemocrAID
We prepared and held a conference about democracy, with a focus on media literacy and the importance of voting. The main discussion was about how media literacy can be improved and how we should use our voice when it comes to democracy. The conversation featured insights from Nadia Nováková (European Parliament), Denisa Karabová (NGO European Dialogue), and Mário Vrabel’, an active young citizen. They highlighted the importance of being informed and engaged to strengthen democracy.
In the afternoon, our wish was to see how the Danube rose after heavy rains and how the capital city looks in the colors of the sunset. Bratislava was THE place to taste local food and learn more about Slovak history.
20.09 – Let´s help!
Back to school! Our volunteers had prepared several interactive games in advance to help high schoolers to learn more about mobility and the importance of saving energy. It was also Car-Free Day which gave us the opportunity to use public transport for free. In the afternoon, we did a clean-up event in one of Trnava parks, creating art from the collected litter.
21.-22.9 – The High Tatras
There was no better time to explore the Tatras than a weekend we chose. The potential of last sunny days in Slovakia was fully used for exploring iconic spots in the High Tatras, such as Štrbské Pleso, Popradské Pleso, and Hrebienok. Mountains welcomed us with breathtaking views, fresh air and besides waterfalls we were surrounded by nature´s masterpieces. It was super easy to find the best locations for Instagram pics. You might think that this adventure filled us with fresh energy and excitement, but we somehow forgot the energy in the mountains. After two days of hiking, with no more energy, but with many memories and funny stories, we found our way back to Trnava. It´s hard to imagine better end of the second week!
